Job summary

Woodbridge Chattanooga Formed Plastics L.P. is seeking a Controls Technician to install, maintain, and optimize instrumentation and control systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will work with PLCs, robotics, and electrical systems to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues to ensure reliable plant operations. We value hands-on technicians with Beckhoff TwinCAT PLC programming experience, Siemens PLC familiarity, and FANUC robotics training.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or relevant technical certification in instrumentation or electrical tech.
• Hands-on Beckhoff TwinCAT PLC programming experience.
• Experience troubleshooting Siemens and Beckhoff PLC systems.
• Completion of FANUC training (Teach Pendant Programming).
• Strong FANUC robot operation, programming, and fault diagnostics.
• Ability to read P&ID diagrams and hydraulic/pneumatic drawings.
• Experience with maintenance parts inventory.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and control systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC systems including Beckhoff TwinCAT and Siemens PLCs.
• Program and modify PLCs using TwinCAT or similar platforms.
• Monitor systems to minimize downtime and diagnose faults.
• Diagnose electrical, instrumentation, and automation issues.
• Interpret electrical blueprints, P&ID diagrams, and hydraulic/pneumatic drawings.
• Support robotics systems with teach pendant programming and fault analysis.
• Perform robot programming and operation using FANUC tools.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Manage spare parts inventory for controls systems.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to improve performance.
