Job summary

Nammo Defense Systems, Inc. in Mesa, AZ is seeking a highly skilled Controls Technician to design, program, troubleshoot, and maintain automation systems for manufacturing. You will work with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and associated equipment, collaborating with maintenance and engineering teams across site projects.

Responsibilities include wiring, calibration, panel building, and component replacement. The role requires strong problem-solving, safety awareness, and travel less than 10% as needed on

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as a Controls Technician in an industrial setting.
• Experience with PLC/HMI programming across multiple platforms.
• Proficient with electrical troublehsooting and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with NFPA79 safety standards for industrial machinery.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and building small to mid-sized automation projects.
• Troubleshoot, program, and modify PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
• Support and implement automated manufacturing equipment.
• Identify component faults and restore malfunctioning equipment.
• Perform routine calibrations, software backups, and preventive updates.
• Replace faulty I/O modules, sensors, VFDs, and servo controllers.
• Develop robust control systems and wire panels.
• Generate electrical schematic sketches/drawings.
• Communicate with internal and external Nammo teams.
• Travel expected to be less than 10%.
• Other duties as assigned; adhere to safety policies.
