Job summary

Integrity Trade Services is seeking a skilled Controls Technician for our automotive manufacturing client in Portland, MI. This direct-hire opportunity offers a 2nd shift (2:30pm–11:00pm) and comprehensive benefits upon hire.

You will modify electrical systems, maintain electrical prints, program PLCs and HMIs, diagnose controls issues, and support continuous-improvement projects. Ideal candidates have an AS in Controls Engineering and 3–5 years of controls experience.

Qualifications

AS degree in controls engineering or closely related technical field.
3–5 years of controls-related experience in manufacturing.
Strong working knowledge of PCs, PLCs, CNC controls, and automation technologies.
Experience with CAD and electrical-drawing systems.

Responsibilities

Make electrical-system modifications to equipment to improve safety and efficiency.
Maintain electrical schematics, prints, and PLC/processor files.
Program, revise, and support PLCs, HMIs, robots, and automation equipment.
Diagnose and resolve electrical/controls issues and support maintenance.
Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams on improvements.
Follow safety policies and state code requirements.
