Job summary

Bell & Evans is seeking a motivated Controls Technician in Fredericksburg, PA to support installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical systems across production facilities. You will gain experience with PLC troubleshooting, control systems work, and automation support.

Responsibilities include diagnosing circuits, reading schematics, programming PLCs, and performing PMs on equipment.

Qualifications

Hands-on ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, motors, VFDs, relays, sensors, and control circuits.
Ability to read electrical schematics and perform basic PLC/HMI tasks.
Familiarity with automated machinery, including mechanical and electrical repairs.
Works well under pressure with quick, safe issue diagnosis.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical components of production equipment.
Diagnose electrical circuits, read schematics, and follow detailed instructions.
Connect to PLCs, read ladder logic, and perform basic PLC/HMI programming.
Set up and troubleshoot VFDs, servo systems, and temperature control systems.
Perform preventative maintenance on automated and mechanical equipment.
Complete work orders, documentation, and basic computer-based reporting.
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and improvement projects.
Repair and maintain sensors, motors, relays, safety circuits, and other panels.
Work independently and with the team; communicate issues clearly to maintenance and management.
