Job summary

Plastipak Packaging, Inc in Champaign, IL is seeking a Controls Technician to repair and maintain electrical and automation systems on 12-hour night shifts in a climate-controlled facility. You will program Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and vision systems, troubleshoot issues, and work on MTBF improvements while growing through training.

A.A./A.S. degree is preferred; at least one year of electrical experience and PLC/Ladder logic programming required; FANUC robotics experience preferred; night

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent accepted.
• Minimum one year electrical experience.
• Minimum one year PLC or Ladder Logic programming.
• FANUC robots experience is highly preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery and electrical/automation equipment.
• Program Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and Vision Systems; handle networking tasks.
• Engineer MTBF improvements and contribute to equipment reliability.
• Engage in on-the-job training and skill development.
