Shift: Sunday-Thursday 2pm-10:30pm
This role supports our AmerisourceBergen business, providing supply chain services to healthcare providers and health systems in the United States.
Under general supervision of the Systems Manager, responsible for supporting the effective use and functionality of automated equipment within a fully automated Distribution Center, while mentoring technician associates. The role involves diagnosing electrical controls issues at the component level, including capacitors, inductors, diodes, LEDs, and transistors, as well as pressure transducers, flow meters, photovoltaic sensors, bridge and full wave rectifiers. The technician will also program basic changes to PLC controllers, modify timing, add alarms, and logic for additional inputs or outputs, properly wiring additional devices to PLCs and other controllers. Troubleshooting communication issues with devices connected to the MHE network or other networks such as Profibus, and working with device IP addressing, network switches, along with operation and diagnosis of all chill water plant systems including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, BAS, HVAC, and water treatment.
Education: Some technical vocational training or equivalent experience; at least two years of related experience; a strong electrical background is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems; ability to read CAD layouts, electrical diagrams, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues; experience with PLC programming and network troubleshooting; ability to operate and diagnose chill water plant systems; excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills; ability to mentor others.
