Job Details

Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm

Position Overview

Under general supervision of the Systems Manager, responsible for supporting the effective use and functionality of automated equipment within a fully automated Distribution Center. This includes diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues, testing, replacing, or repairing electrical systems (up to 600 volts, AC/DC), motors, power supplies, drives, transformers, sensors, PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems. The role requires reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC logic, and configuring equipment. Additionally, testing of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, and water treatment systems is required, along with hardware and software installation and setup.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure effective preventative maintenance plans for all facility equipment and systems.
2. Diagnose and repair errors in Materials Handling Equipment and Automated Picking Systems.
3. Oversee maintenance, modifications, and upgrades of system controls.
4. Assess and define modifications for equipment and systems to improve efficiency.
5. Perform routine preventive maintenance to support warehouse productivity.
6. Maintain CMMS/EAM system records of repairs and maintenance.
7. Manage spare parts inventory.
8. Work extended hours as needed to meet productivity goals.
9. Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Technical vocational training or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of related experience with a strong electrical background preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Ability to read CAD layouts, electrical diagrams, and PLC logic.
• Experience with testing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues, including systems up to 600 volts.
• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and related software.
• Computer hardware and software proficiency, including MS Office and MHE software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on safety and compliance.
