Job summary

Ksiedge is seeking a Controls Technician in the Cissna Park area to coordinate field startups, assist with panel checkouts, and support service teams. The role involves extensive travel, on-site field work, and after-hours on-call rotations to ensure successful plant startups and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include scheduling startups, field troubleshooting, updating trackers, and collaborating with the service manager on warranty items and parts dispatch.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of automation startup experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of seed treating startup experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of PLC and HMI programming experience preferred.
• Electrical skills required.
• Mechanical skills and knowledge of hand tools required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Effectively solve problems using phone communication.
• Communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate startup schedule with controls service manager and customer to set startup date.
• Work from home office when not in the field, checking panels and assembling equipment.
• Bill out parts and service trips with service manager while tracking inventory.
• Update tracker and paperwork to ensure supplies for the week.
• Assist with warranty items and support field technicians in troubleshooting.
• Provide support to level I/II technicians in electrical and technical questions.
• Coordinate service trips and plan timing with customers and managers.
• Assist with panel checkouts in the KS shop and prep for shipment.
