Job summary

Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies in Cleveland, GA seeks a Process Technician Apprentice (Controls) to assist with troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment and to support PLC programming, HMI development, and equipment commissioning. You will work under supervision to improve reliability, safety, and productivity in a fast-paced plant environment.

The role requires a high school diploma and interest in Electrical/Mechatronics with hands-on learning in controls technology and

Qualifications

High school diploma required; technical program preferred.
Basic understanding of electrical and automation systems.
Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
Exposure to PLC platforms (Mitsubishi, Siemens, Omron, Allen-Bradley).
Willingness to learn HMIs and industrial networks.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist Controls Engineers and Technicians with troubleshooting automated equipment.
Support PLC programming, backups, documentation, and minor changes.
Assist with HMI development, troubleshooting, updates.
Troubleshoot control panels, sensors, relays, VFDs, servo systems, safety devices.
Support commissioning and startup of new equipment and lines.
Perform preventive maintenance on control systems and automation equipment.
Assist with network troubleshooting and device communication.
Support robotics and automated inspection systems where applicable.
Document modifications and maintain records.
Assist in creating operator instructions and training materials.
Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.
Follow safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures.
