GCS Recruitment Specialists seeks a hands-on Controls Technician to keep our new fiber optic connector production lines running. You’ll diagnose downtime, debug PLC/HMI code, and repair electrical panels, sensors, servo drives, and pneumatics while supporting engineers during builds and commissioning.

Experience with Allen Bradley Studio 5000 is preferred; Beckhoff, Siemens, or CODESYS are also welcome. Reading schematics and CAD drawings is essential for success in this role.

Qualificações

• Associate degree or technical certification in automation, mechatronics, electronics or related field.
• Hands-on PLC and HMI experience, including diagnosing and modifying code.
• Experience with multiple PLC platforms preferred.

Controls Technician

We're building production lines for a brand new fiber optic connector product driven by AI data center demand. We need a hands on controls technician to keep our custom automated equipment running. You'll be the first line of defense on machine downtime, faults and sensor errors, which keeps our engineers focused on design. Experienced technicians who lean toward the engineering side will thrive here.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and resolve machine downtime, faults and sensor errors quickly
• Debug IO and diagnose PLC and HMI code
• Maintain and repair electrical panels, sensors, servo drives and pneumatics
• Install, maintain and program robotic arms and motion control components
• Work from electrical schematics, CAD drawings and technical manuals to troubleshoot and modify equipment
• Support our engineers during machine builds and commissioning
• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and industrial safety standards

What You'll Bring

• Associate degree or technical certification in automation, mechatronics, electronics or a related field
• Hands on PLC and HMI experience, including diagnosing and modifying code
• Allen Bradley Studio 5000 experience preferred. Beckhoff, Siemens or CODESYS experience is also welcome
• Solid understanding of industrial electrical panels, AC/DC voltage, sensors, servo drives and pneumatics
• Experience with robotic arms and motion control
• Ability to read and work from schematics and technical drawings
• Strong troubleshooting instincts and a sense of urgency when equipment is down

Nice to Have

• Epson robot or ProFace HMI experience
• Exposure to machine vision systems
