Job summary

Plastipak is seeking a skilled maintenance technician in Newark, Ohio to repair and program PLCs, HMIs, and vision systems across manufacturing lines. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, network components, and drive MTBF improvements to reduce downtime.

The role requires an A.A./A.S. in a technical field, 5+ years of experience, and ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Plastipak offers comprehensive benefits and a strong path for advancement.

Qualifications

• Associate or equivalent in electrical/mechanical field.
• Minimum 5 years electrical and mechanical experience.
• Minimum 3 years PLC programming and ladder logic troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery and equipment including motors, pneumatics, conveyors, and robotics.
• Program Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, and networking.
• Improve MTBF and reliability of plant equipment.

You Will

• Use your knowledge of RS Logix 500, 5000, computer networking, HMI, and robotics to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as electric motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, vision systems, production equipment, and plant support machines
• Program Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, Vision Systems, and networking
• Engineer MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) improvements

You Have

• Associate's Degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent is strongly preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of electrical and mechanical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of PLC programming and troubleshooting ladder logic
• Strong ability to troubleshoot & problem solve
• Physical requirement includes the ability to lift & move up to 75 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
