Controls Technician - Joplin, MO
As part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for supporting, creating, integrating, troubleshooting, and improving the electrical and controls systems within the manufacturing facility.
Shift hours:
- 8-hour shift
- 2nd shift: 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm (Saturday through Wednesday work schedule with Thursday and Friday off)
- Currently hiring for 2nd shift
- Two days off per scheduled work week
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency events
- Plant operates 24/7
Pay:
- $2000 Hiring Bonus! (paid after 90 days and 6 months of successful employment)
- Up to $37.00 per hour depending on skills and experience
- $33.42 per hour base plus shift differential of $.45 per hour for 2nd shift

What your day will look like:
- Creating high-quality foods consumed daily across the country
- Using advanced technology in a leading industry facility
- Collaborating with experienced operators eager to pass down knowledge and learn

- Supporting, creating, programming, troubleshooting, and improving processing and packaging controls systems (Wonderware ArchestrA, Motion Control, PLC, HMI, etc.)
- Reading and updating electrical/control schematics
- Maintaining and calibrating equipment like transmitters, vision systems, checkweighers, metal detectors
- Configuring industrial networks (Ethernet, DeviceNet, RIO, DH+)
- Providing technical support for troubleshooting and modifications
- Performing preventative and corrective maintenance
- Participating in Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Training new employees
What you have to offer:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of experience in controls programming and industrial controls technology
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Experience with AB PLC platforms, servo control, robotic controls
- Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, VFDs, robotics, power distribution, networking, electrical safety
- B&R and Beckhoff controls experience a plus
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred
Physical requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting
- Work at heights using ladders, lifts, platforms
- Wear protective gear (safety shoes, glasses, masks, etc.)
- Adhere to grooming standards for food safety
- Work in various environmental conditions (hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet)
- Work around high-speed machinery and allergens
