Job summary

Capitol Mechanical Inc. in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, seeks a Controls Technician – Level I to assist with installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of Building Automation Systems.

The position requires an Associate's degree in Electronics or equivalent experience, and a valid driver's license. Training opportunities are available; you must be able to lift, climb ladders, and perform other physical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Building Automation is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong desire to learn a skilled trade.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.
• Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
• Strong written and communication skills.
• Physical requirements include lifting, climbing ladders, stooping.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Under the direction of the project supervisor, the Controls Technician will help with the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of Building Automation Systems (BAS).

Job Responsibilities

• Low voltage wire pull installation and termination
• Reading and understanding of mechanical plans and wiring diagrams
• Possess strong organizational skills
• Work according to project timelines and processes
• Ability to work on your own or as part of the team
• Work in multiple environments from construction sites to tenant occupied office spaces
