Job summary

HelloFresh is seeking a Controls Systems Technician to support our Goodyear, AZ operations. You will work with the maintenance team to maintain and repair conveyance, automation and facilities equipment to maximize uptime and reliability.

You will be the resident expert in controls, PLCs, communication protocols, and automation. The role requires 4–6 years of hands-on experience with conveyors, automation, robotics and PLCs, plus the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience with conveyor, automation, robotics, PLC troubleshooting/programming, communications protocols (Profi, DeviceNet, Ethernet TCP/IP).
• Advanced understanding of PLCs and automated processes.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for business purposes.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, food safety, and security standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on automation, robotics and control panels.
• Troubleshoot out-of-service equipment and escalate as needed.
• Document work in CMMS and ticketing systems.
• Mentor maintenance personnel in automation, controls and robotics.
• Lead root cause analysis of major downtime events.
• Partner with engineering on commissioning of new controls systems.
• Audit vendor work for quality and SLA.
• Write/modify PMs to standardize across the network.
• Perform building project work as assigned.
