Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an on-site Commissioning Technician to install and commission HVAC systems, troubleshoot on-site issues, and deliver high-quality service to customers. You will document commissioning results, calibrate systems, and provide recommendations to improve building efficiency.

A license or 2-year degree and at least 2 years of related HVAC experience are required. Safety training is mandatory.

Qualifications

• HVAC license or 2-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology or related field.
• Minimum 2 years related experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls systems and facilities management basics.
• Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people; leadership in supporting teams.
• PC experience and ability to program HVAC related software.

Responsibilities

• Perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls tools and document results.
• Troubleshoot basic HVAC mechanical/electrical issues and respond to warranty calls.
• Provide service solutions and upsell opportunities to improve facility efficiency.
• Calibrate systems with basic electronic test equipment.
• Complete commissioning docs and as-built documentation; update progress with stakeholders.
• Maintain safety standards and participate in safety training.
