Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Controls Systems Support Technician for a 14-day startup project in Olathe, Kansas. You will work with operators and maintenance to ensure automated sorting systems operate with minimal downtime.

The role focuses on on-site technical support, monitoring system performance, assisting with proper package handling, and coordinating with maintenance for equipment issues. Prior experience with conveyor or sortation systems is ideal.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical equipment maintenance, field service, or machine repair experience.
• Ability to read equipment diagrams, part lists, assembly drawings, or technical documentation.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical disassembly equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Ability to lift equipment/components and work in an industrial environment.
• Ability to pass background screening and comply with site safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Walk the facility floor to observe package flow and equipment functionality.
• Assist operators with equipment operation and troubleshoot issues.
• Identify bottlenecks and coordinate with maintenance to resolve faults.
• Reset systems after faults and ensure minimal downtime.
• Support startup of sorting equipment during the 14-day project.
