Job summary

Uhl Company is seeking a Controls Systems Technician in Maple Grove, MN to manage design, programming, commissioning and ongoing technical support for building automation projects. You will direct preplanning, scope tasks, and collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.

The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to coordinate with multiple trades while maintaining schedule integrity.

Responsibilities

• Direct the project preplanning process, accurately scope tasks, develop schedules and coordinate with project team.
• Monitor costs, manage labor reporting and coordinate subcontractors.
• Evaluate scope changes and client needs.
• Coordinate work with other trades, perform start-ups and commissioning as needed.
• Determine equipment and materials required and identify issues.
• Provide technical guidance to diagnose control system concerns.
• Troubleshoot controllers, wiring, programs and schedules.
• Ensure M&V equipment functionality and data storage.
