Overview
We are seeking an experienced Controls System Engineer to design, implement, and lead intelligent infrastructure systems for our AI factory. This role focuses on managing BMS/EPMS platforms, integrating telemetry, and deploying advanced automation strategies that ensure safe, efficient, and autonomous operation of mission-critical environments. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will serve as the in-house controls expert, driving a controls-first culture and enabling real-time observability, predictive maintenance, and operational optimization.

Compensation
$150,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement controls architecture across hardware (PLCs, sensors), software (SCADA, analytics), and networks.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies such as AI-driven controls, ML-based anomaly detection, and advanced sensor integration.
- Lead and mentor a team of controls, instrumentation, and automation engineers.
- Design, commission, and standardize BMS/EPMS/SCADA systems for high-density compute and hybrid cooling environments.
- Establish consistent design, commissioning, and documentation protocols for scalability and safety across multiple sites.
- Develop modular, scalable control solutions to support rapid infrastructure expansion.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and IT teams to ensure seamless, compliant system integration.
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to implement secure network architectures and response strategies for control environments.
- Build digital twin and simulation models for operational forecasting and risk management.
- Deploy telemetry and alerting frameworks that deliver actionable insights and rapid response capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical, Controls, or Automation Engineering.
- 10–15+ years in mission-critical automation with deep BMS/SCADA expertise.
- Strong understanding of IT/OT convergence, telemetry, and network security.
- Experience in hyperscale or GPU-accelerated environments.
- Proven leadership and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Background in scaling controls systems to meet rapid data center growth.
