Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to improve refinery safety, operations and profitability in Shreveport, LA. You will design, implement and maintain DCS/PLC/HMI solutions and coordinate projects across teams.

Candidates should have 3+ years in refinery control or process engineering, knowledge of ISA standards, Honeywell Experion or Allen-Bradley PLCs, and strong communication skills. BS in engineering required; electrical or chemical preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of control systems or process engineering experience in refinery or related industry.
• Knowledge of DCS, PLCs/SISs, HMIs, Microsoft Operating Systems, and/or computer network architecture.
• Knowledge of field instrumentation and analyzers.
• Experience with ISA regulatory guidelines.
• Knowledge of Honeywell Experion, APACS, RTP, Triconex, and/or Allen Bradley PLCs is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective team skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering; chemical or electrical preferred.
