Job summary

AAON, Inc. seeks a controls support professional to provide technical assistance by phone to onsite field technicians and end users. You will resolve AAON control-related issues and assist with diagnostics and testing across digital controls.

This role requires afterhours field support and collaboration with Mechanical and Engineering teams to escalate complex problems. Strong electronics knowledge and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Any technical trade school training is preferred.
• Electrical controls and instrumentation automation training is a plus.
• HVAC or electrical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer and resolve technical support calls on AAON controls.
• Assist in testing and troubleshooting AAON digital controls.
• Perform job site startup and troubleshooting with field personnel.
• Evaluate need for escalation to Mechanical/Engineering and Controls teams.
• Handle administrative duties related to controls support.
• Use Test Bench to aid field technicians with hardware I/O, SOO, and applications.
• Be available for afterhours field support during weeknights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Summary

Provides technical assistance over the phone to onsite field technicians and end users of AAON by performing the following duties.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Answers and solves technical support calls on AAON controls.
• Assists in testing and troubleshooting AAON digital controls.
• Performs job site startup and troubleshooting with field personnel.
• Evaluates the need for escalation to Mechanical Support / Engineering and Controls Engineering.
• Performs administrative duties associated with controls support position.
• Use Test Bench to assist field technicians with hardware I/O, SOO, and Applications.
• Must be available for afterhours field support during the work week, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• This is subject to change according to business needs.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Any Technical Trade School training is preferred.
• Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Automation is a plus.
• HVAC or Electrical training is preferred.

Work Environment
