Job summary

BW Design Group is seeking a Controls Specialist in LSS (Controls, Safety, and Life Safety Systems) to join our CSI Practice in the US. You will collaborate with engineers and technicians on capital projects, deliver high-quality solutions, and help clients achieve performance goals.

The role requires deep experience with Life Safety System designs, commissioning of complex systems, MEP coordination, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree in chemical/electrical/civil/structural engineering
• NICET II+ in Fire Alarm systems preferred
• EIT certification preferred
• Experience with Life Safety System designs and AHJ inspections
• Experience with commissioning complex, interconnected systems
• Familiarity with design/build engineering and facilities document control systems
• Strong written and verbal communication; report writing and presentations

Responsibilities

• Support capital projects and implement solutions for clients
• Assist in meeting manufacturing reliability, quality, safety, and cost objectives
• Design and specify production line and facility layouts and as-built facilities
• Manage project tasks including budget, procurement, scope, and schedule
• Coordinate start-up activities and plant personnel training
• Review construction specifications, drawings, and O&M manuals
• Provide CAD support
• Build relationships with clients and teams to drive project success
