Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Controls Manager in the Central Division, based in the Kansas City area. You will troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and OITs and lead automation maintenance for multiple plants.

Responsibilities include coordinating upgrades, supporting 24/7 operations, and collaborating with engineers and vendors to drive capital projects. The role requires extensive electrical troubleshooting experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting 120V AC and 24V DC control systems.
• 2+ years PLC control work; 8+ years electrical troubleshooting total experience.
• Travel overnight 20-30% with flexible hours; strong teamwork and training ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and troubleshoot PLC-controlled plants across the region.
• Coordinate in-house automation repairs and upgrades for plant controls.
• Research upgrades to improve safety, efficiency, capacity and reporting.
• Support 24/7 on-call rotation for automation and local electricians.
• Work with engineering and vendors to meet capital project deadlines.
