Job summary

Samsung SDI America Inc. seeks a Controls Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment per predictive maintenance processes while upholding safety policies.

The role supports manufacturing and maintenance teams and focuses on rapid repairs and preventive maintenance. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma with some manufacturing experience and PLC/HMI troubleshooting skills, plus proficiency with measuring devices and standard tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 2 years of relevant work experience or continuing education in manufacturing.
• Experience with production line assembly equipment; focus on controls troubleshooting through PLC and HMI.
• Able to work in a cross functional environment with Operations and Mfg tech.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite Applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Manufacturing and Production Teams in the following areas.
• Check equipment regularly to ensure normal operating activity.
• Monitor data from measuring devices.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment focused on reduced response and repair time.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments according to equipment manuals and work instructions.
• Perform preventive maintenance duties according to PM schedule and complete record keeping in PM tracking system.
• Assist Manufacturing Technology team with troubleshooting, problem resolution, and downtime trend analysis.
• Support continuous improvement activities with identification and implementation of machine or process improvements
• Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment.
• Other tasks as assigned.

The Controls Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment according to predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes while following required safety policies.

ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

REQUIRED / DESIRED SKILLS:

• Knowledgeable in a variety of hand/power tools and electrical meters.
• Ability to work in a cross functional environment with Operaitons and Mfg tech.

• Demonstrate aptitude to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience in laser welding, sealant dispense, robotics, or machine vision.
