The Stellantis Vehicle and Propulsion Controls organization (PVPC) translates Performance and Functional Objectives into Controls features implemented in embedded software. The PVPC organization spans the development cycle with core missions to translate system specifications into requirements, distribute control functions and networking strategies, implement core functions and diagnostics algorithms, and validate functions to requirements. Within PVPC, the Controls Management Team interfaces with programs to ensure their needs are met.

As a result of Stellantis’ initiatives to lead in mobility, we seek a talented Controls Integration Engineer who will support the Controls Manager in technical management, global planning and execution, and coordination of the Controls and Software platform solution for Engines, Transmissions, Hybrids, Batteries, Charging, or Motor Electronic Control Units. This role involves daily challenges and opportunities to learn something new.

What will you be doing?

As a Controls Integration Engineer, you will:

  • Collect and deploy high-level requirements with key stakeholders (Systems, Architecture, Network, Controls & Software, and Validation teams)
  • Coordinate Controls feature development by tracking technical deliverables, supporting technical discussions, and change management approvals
  • Act as Technical lead for controls testing, supporting test cases and tracking validation results
  • Coordinate Controls technical troubleshooting by leading issue resolution and managing all technical open points at program level
  • Develop detailed technical project timing and risk assessments to assist the Controls Managers
Basic qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5 years of related work experience
  • Proven ability to work on complex systems both independently and in a team, delivering high-quality and robust technical solutions
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment
  • High-level understanding of Vehicle and Propulsion systems, and Electronic Control Module software & controls requirements, development, validation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Teamwork skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Be proactive, take ownership and be accountable
Preferred qualifications:
  • DFSS Design For Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt certification, or equivalent
  • Master’s degree in engineering and technology
  • Previous experience as Controls/Software Developer, testing or calibration engineer
