• Assist with system startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and modifications.

Job description

Location: Lafayette, IN
Duration: 1-2 months
Pay:$50/hr
Per Diem:$197/day for qualified travelers
Schedule: Night shift, 8-12 hours per day

Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Controls Engineers for a 1-2 month automation and controls project in Lafayette, IN. This is a great opportunity for a skilled Controls Engineer with strong Rockwell Automation experience who is comfortable working night shift in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Rockwell Studio 5000 v38 experience is required.

• $197 per day per diem ($1,386per week) paid for all days while traveling.
• When traveling, your time is compensated at your regular hourly rate
• If traveling by personal vehicle, mileage will be reimbursed at $0.76 per mile
• If traveling by air, the flight will be provided, with reimbursement for rental car and fuel

Key Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, modify, and optimize PLC control systems

• Proven experience as a Controls Engineer in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with Rockwell Studio 5000 Version 38 (v38) - required
• Strong Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
• Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot controls issues efficiently
• Comfortable working night shift and 8-12 hour shifts
• Previous experience with material handling or automated production systems is a plus
