Job summary

Orenco Systems, Inc. is seeking a senior Controls Engineering Manager to lead a diverse team of engineers, technicians, and programmers. The role focuses on designing, optimizing, and standardizing electronic control systems that automate and monitor industrial processes.

You will oversee CPQ integration, EPLAN Engineering Configuration and shop floor operations, ensuring design guidelines are up-to-date and scalable for future growth. This is a leadership-position in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics/automation engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum ten years of experience in control panel design, industrial automation, and product management (controls manufacturing preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience managing a team of engineers and technicians in a control panel design/manufacturing environment.
• 1–3 years of project management experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with EPLAN, and familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of control panels, including wiring diagrams, panel layouts, I/O mapping and PLC/HMI programming.
• Drive standardization of control panels and ensure integration with CPQ, EEC (EPLAN Engineering Configurator) and shop floor operations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Product Management and Manufacturing to align SOPs and documentation.
• Develop and enforce Engineering Design Guidelines; manage revision control and documentation.
