Job summary

Orenco Systems, Inc. seeks a Controls Engineering Manager to lead engineers and technicians in designing and standardizing control panels, wiring diagrams, and PLC/HMI configurations. The role drives engineering automation, CPQ integration, and cross-functional collaboration across sales, manufacturing, and quality control.

You will mentor a diverse team, oversee documentation, and ensure compliance with UL/NEC standards while advancing market-driven product improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field; 10+ years in control panel design/industrial automation preferred.
• Minimum ten years of experience in control panel design, industrial automation, and product management (controls manufacturing preferred).
• Leadership experience: managing engineers/technicians; project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of motors, VFDs, instrumentation, and industrial control circuits.
• Familiarity with SCADA, remote telemetry, DCS, IIoT, and industrial communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineers, technicians, and programmers to design, optimize, and enhance control systems and panel designs.
• Standardize control panel designs; ensure documentation, SOPs, and quality controls are up to date.
• Oversee EPLAN/EEC deployment, CPQ/Quoter integration, and shop floor scheduling.
• Specify components, sensors, drives, and instrumentation for control systems.
• Coach and develop team; coordinate with sales, operations, and manufacturing to meet market needs.
