Qualifications

  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems on manufacturing lines.
  • Strong PLC, HMI programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Siemens).
  • Ability to perform system integration with vendors and process engineers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support for multiple manufacturing operations.
  • Create and maintain controls documentation and automation procedures.
  • Collaborate with industrial staff, quality, and process engineers.
  • Upgrade equipment to meet run-cost targets and future product needs.
  • Ensure compliance with hazardous location requirements (Class I, II).

Schedule - Days, Monday-Friday

Compensation: $80,000-$110,000

The Webster Machining and Coating Manufacturing (M&CM) organization is seeking an Electrical (Controls) Engineer to support multiple manufacturing operations. Webster M&CM produces high-performance consumable parts for high-end production printing presses on several unique, highly automated production lines. The Electrical engineer is a key player to ensure Xerox's ability to deliver high-quality parts to our customers. This role is ideal for someone who loves to collaborate to solve problems in multiple areas and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Providing engineering support, potentially including off-shift
  • Creating and maintaining controls documentation, equipment maintenance procedures, and automation programming.
  • Interaction with industrial staff, employees, quality personnel and process engineers.
  • Systems integration with vendors providing equipment.
  • Troubleshooting of electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and processes.
  • Upgrades to the current equipment to enable run-cost targets and enable future products, including controls-related elements of productivity improvements.
  • Experience with Class1/Div. 1&2 hazardous location requirements. This includes the need for ESD shoes and a respirator.

The well qualified candidate will have:

  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems incorporated in multiple materials handling and process manufacturing lines.
  • PLC, MMI, and HMI Programming experience including but not limited to:

  • Education requirement:
    • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering preferred. Other Engineering with the programming experience detailed above is also acceptable.
