Thrive Project Resources is seeking multiple Automation Engineers to support our client’s industrial greenfield plant startup in Little Rock, AR. This role will focus on testing & commissioning Siemens S7-1500 PLC systems, HMI’s, and VFDs through equipment startup and ramp-up. Responsibilities
Commission, test, and debug automation systems using Siemens S7-1500 PLCs, SIMATIC HMI Unified Comfort Panels, and SINAMICS G120 VFDs via Profinet/Industrial Ethernet at the Welspun site
Verify and calibrate HMI graphics and VFD parameters against equipment specifications during startup
Collaborate with the controls and electrical teams to validate automation systems against process and equipment specifications
Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues during commissioning and ramp-up
Support network architecture and communications between PLCs, HMIs, and plant systems
Document automation logic, configurations, commissioning changes and results for the project team
Qualifications
BS in Electrical or Automation Engineering (or equivalent), or several years of hands-on automation commissioning experience
Must have proven expertise with Siemens S7-1500 PLCs, SIMATIC HMI UCPs, and SINAMICS G120 VFDs
Experience with commissioning and/start-up of projects with over 3,000 I/Os
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in commissioning and startup environments
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced industrial startup environment
Experience with greenfield plant startups or major industrial automation buildouts a plus
Compensation and Support
A competitive hourly wage and overtime pay are available for qualified candidates. W2 employees and qualified 1099 contractors will be considered.
