Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Controls Engineer for a contract-to-hire role based out of Wentzville, MO. You will work on highly automated manufacturing systems, collaborating with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to maximize uptime and reliability.

Responsibilities include supporting PLCs/HMIs, investigating downtime, and driving continuous improvement on controls projects. This onsite role offers significant floor time and advancement opportunities within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls engineering or related field.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and automation systems in manufacturing.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Willing to work various shifts per business needs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and support PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and industrial controls.
• Support new equipment installations and upgrades.
• Analyze downtime and improve system performance.
• Maintain controls documentation and standards on floor.
