Join a company driven by quality products across an evolving range of industries. **CONTROLS ENGINEER: ROBOTICS FOCUS****POSITION OVERVIEW** The Controls Engineer will develop, deploy, and improve Gentex automated manufacturing systems, with a primary focus on robotics and robotic processes **WHAT YOU’LL DO*** Provide support for new and existing automated systems.* Identify areas of improvement within existing automated equipment* Identify areas of improvement by studying data from Gentex software systems.* Develop programs for new and existing equipment, using both on-line and off-line programming techniques.* Actively participate in the evaluation and specifying of hardware and software for the automated equipment* Work with other Engineers to standardize automated and programming solutions across similar equipment, with heavy focus on robot point teaching methods, fixtures, and procedures.* Support engineering team members in the development of new processes for manufacturing.* Work with production support teams during equipment or software launch.* Research and develop new robotic solutions for automated equipment.* Identify and address areas of obsolescence.
