Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) seeks a Controls Engineer to support critical national defense utilities at Arnold AFB, TN. You will split time between design and hands-on field testing, under senior guidance, building expertise in industrial control and data systems.

Open to internal and external candidates; you will learn to apply cybersecurity directives and coordinate with IT, security, and operations teams while supporting capital projects and ensure reliable facility operations.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and AEDC network access.
• U.S. citizenship is required for employment at AEDC.

Responsibilities

• Support PLC/DCS platforms under senior guidance.
• Maintain control systems for electrical, water/wastewater, cooling, and steam utilities.
• Participate in field commissioning, instrumentation troubleshooting, and testing.
• Assist with instrumentation and data collection using Schneider HMI systems.
• Support lifecycle and capital projects with design packages and tests.
• Learn and apply DoD cybersecurity directives with IT/security teams.
• Collaborate with Instrument Technicians and Utility Supervisors.
• Wear PPE as directed and perform other duties as required.
