EnerSys, a global leader in stored energy solutions, seeks a Controls Engineer for a 3rd shift onsite role in Springfield, MO. You will drive plant-wide projects to optimize and upgrade controls systems for manufacturing equipment, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams, and managing scope, schedule and budget.

Requires BS in engineering and 1–3+ years in manufacturing, with strong PLC/Robot and automation experience.

Qualifications

• Education: BS degree or equivalent in engineering
• 1–3+ years experience in manufacturing environment
• College level written and verbal English skills
• Basic understanding of networking and PLC/robot control

Responsibilities

• Implement PLC and Robot logic changes
• Modify documentation for electrical schematics and operations instructions
• Provide technical support to maintenance and operations
• Coordinate electrical control equipment build, installation and training
• Strong robotic experience in Fanuc and Vision Guided Systems
• Strong PLC experience with Allen Bradley and Modicon with ladder logic and structured text
• Electrical and electronic troubleshooting knowledge
• Understand networking (Sercos, Device Net, Ethernet I/P)
• Proficient in AutoCAD electrical and SolidWorks
