Job summary

CONVERGIX Automation Solutions is seeking a Controls Engineer in Michigan to design, program, and build custom robotic automation systems. You will work with electrical design, PLC programming, and HMI/SCADA development, collaborating with mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure robust, high-quality solutions for diverse clients.

You will interface with clients, project managers, and field service teams, providing technical leadership and support throughout projects, including site visits

Qualifications

• Experience with PLC programming on Allen-Bradley or Siemens platforms.
• Robotic integration experience with FANUC, ABB, and/or KUKA.
• Ability to travel within US and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, program and build custom robotic automation systems.
• Develop electrical design, PLC programming, HMI/SCADA design and development.
• Interface with Mechanical and Electrical engineers to create robust designs.
• Assist electricians in debugging machine wiring.
• Write PLC programs using company templates and standards.
• Validate machines by powering on and verifying functionality against specs.
• Provide status updates to clients and participate in field service meetings.
