Job summary

TalTeam, Inc. seeks a skilled Controls Engineer to lead electrical design on stamping presses and related automation upgrades. You will design HMI and PLC systems, safety PLCs, hardwire and panel layouts, and perform risk assessments and field device layouts.

The role includes installation supervision and full-line commissioning support. Qualifications include a BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, AutoCAD Electrical experience, and PLC programming with Rockwell, Mitsubishi, and Siemens.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering/technologies or equivalent work experience.
AutoCAD Electrical experience is required.
PLC programming experience (Rockwell, Mitsubishi and Siemens preferred) - must have.
Electrical hardware design and modification experience.
Experience with equipment demolition, installation and commissioning.
Ability to multitask and work in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel and work in Canada and Mexico.
Able to work weekends and holidays as necessary.

Responsibilities

Electrical design on mechanical/hydraulic power stamping presses and related upgrades.
HMI Design and PLC design for automation upgrades.
Safety PLC design, hardwire layouts and panel layouts.
Perform risk assessments and field device layouts.
Oversee installation and provide full line commissioning support.
Supervise installation tasks and coordinate with engineers and trades.
