Job summary

Automation & Electronics USA Ltd. in Arden, NC is seeking a controls engineer to design, program, test, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems. You’ll develop electrical schematics, maintain documentation, and lead onsite startup and remote support.

Travel will be 30-40% to domestic and international sites, coordinating with customers, vendors, and internal teams. The role requires strong troubleshooting, knowledge of Allen-Bradley/Rockwell software, and a bachelor’s degree in a related

Qualifications

Experience designing, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting industrial controls.
Working knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, schematics, instrumentation, and networks.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Automation engineering or closely related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, program, test, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems; integrate drives, sensors, and networks.
Develop and maintain electrical drawings and technical documentation.
Perform onsite startup, commissioning, optimization, and remote support for customers.
Coordinate project schedules, equipment procurement, and panel builds with customers and vendors.
Support project scoping, proposals, and system improvements while following safety procedures.
