Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Permanent Controls Engineer for a leading food and beverage manufacturer in New York. The role focuses on designing and implementing advanced control systems, with a strong emphasis on PLC and HMI programming, and hands-on work across modern automation platforms.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in control systems, familiarity with ControlNet/DeviceNet, and experience with SCADA like Wonderware or Ignition.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in control systems engineering.
PLC or HMI programming experience.
Proficiency with industrial communication networks such as ControlNet and DeviceNet.
Familiarity with SCADA platforms such as Wonderware or Ignition.
Strong understanding of automation and control systems.
Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and test control systems using PLC programming.
Analyze system requirements and propose innovative control system solutions.
Develop and implement software for automation processes.
Collaborate with project teams to design and implement control systems for clients.
Perform troubleshooting and repair of control systems.
Provide technical support and training to end-users.
