Job summary

Dyno Nobel is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to coordinate EIC design for major engineering projects. You will develop electrical drawings, wiring schematics, and PLC/HMI software while leading teams to meet schedule and budget targets.

The role requires 8+ years in controls engineering, proficiency with AutoCAD, P&IDs, and strong leadership and communication skills. Travel up to 20% is anticipated, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of controls engineering experience in mining|mineral processing or related industries.
• Experience reading P&IDs and designing wiring schematics.
• Experience with DCS, PLC, and HMI design and coding.
• Strong knowledge of control panel design and general arrangement drawings.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate EIC design and drawing package for execution on schedule and budget.
• Develop electrical construction drawings and control wiring schematics.
• Design and code PLC-based control systems.
• Oversee electrical and controls engineering deliverables for quality and client satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with engineering teams, stakeholders, and customers.
• Demonstrate accountability and leadership to deliver results in projects.
• Direct third-party resources and contractors during construction and start-up.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, company standards, and HSE requirements.
