Job summary

Camaco in Portage, Indiana is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to support, develop, and test electrical components and systems on the plant floor to meet production goals. You will assess performance, implement improvements, and ensure reliable operation of automation hardware and software.

The role requires planning and executing controls projects, supporting installation of new and rebuilt equipment, and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and sensors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years' plant-floor controls engineering experience with PLC/HMI.
• Automotive seat manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to plant operations and daily production goals.
• Plan and implement all controls related projects.
• Support implementation and installation of new and rebuilt equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, machines, and software related to plant operations.
• Engage in continuous improvement of equipment and processes to enhance efficiency.
• Maintain communication with management and peers regarding all duties.
• Provide documentation and reports as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
