Dematic is seeking a Mid-Career Controls Engineer to translate contractual tech requirements into actionable engineering tasks and deliverables. You will ensure quality, manage issues, and drive on-time, on-budget completion of work packages for customer projects in the United States.

You will collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams, lead design reviews, and support risk management while advancing productivity and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in electrical engineering or closely related field.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in Rockwell PLCs.
  • Knowledgeable on AC drives.
  • Experience in Ethernet IP network design.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Translate project contractual technical requirements into deliverables for engineering teams (design/layout, emulation, order entry, drawings, commissioning).
  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards, processes, and established engineering practices.
  • Identify and resolve issues impacting engineering tasks to prevent project delays.
  • Monitor and manage project team performance to meet KPIs.
  • Deliver assigned work packages on time and within budget, as defined by the Project Manager.
  • Act as the main point of contact for project management, ME leads, and installation teams regarding engineering deliverables.
  • Collaborate with ME and CE Leads to ensure third-party specs are accurate.
  • Track engineering progress against schedule; report updates to ME/CE Leads.
  • Prepare project status reports, forecasts, and schedule updates.
  • Support project risk management by documenting and mitigating risks.
  • Lead technical reviews and post-mortems for continuous improvement.
  • Complete schematic and control panel designs; commission complex systems.
  • Propose productivity, cost-reduction, and customer-satisfaction ideas.
  • Travel up to 40% to US customer locations.
