Job summary

ProMach is seeking a Controls Engineer for an onsite role in New Freedom, PA. You will design, program, implement and support automated control systems for manufacturing and industrial applications, developing schematics, BOMs, and hardware layouts.

Responsibilities include coding PLC/HMI and motion control, assisting FATs, on-site installations, vendor quotations, and cross-functional improvement. Travel up to 20% and hands-on integration with panel shop teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical) preferred.
• 5+ years of Controls Engineering experience.
• Strong PLC programming skills (Allen Bradley/Rockwell, Keyence, Panasonic, others).
• Proficient in RsLogix/Studio5000, AutoCAD, FactoryTalk View.

Responsibilities

• Design, programming, implementation, and support of automated control systems for manufacturing and industrial applications.
• Develop and maintain control system designs, schematics, and BOMs including flow diagrams, panel layouts, and termination diagrams.
• Code, test, and debug/troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and motion control programs.
• Provide technical support for FATs, on-site installation, and after-sales support.
• Coordinate with panel shop technicians to ensure compliant assembly and wiring.
• Handle component selection, specifications, and vendor quotations; write validation and design docs.
• Travel up to 20% to customer sites; participate in cross-functional teams for continuous improvement.
• Hands-on hardware/software integration and troubleshooting of control systems.
