Job summary

Scale is seeking a Controls Engineer for our product engineering team in Oakland, CA to design and commission microgrids. You will be responsible for developing PLC-based control systems and managing site-level controls. The ideal candidate has strong programming experience and knowledge of distributed energy resources.

Qualifications

• Strong working experience with PLC programming and controls engineering.
• Experience with distributed energy resources; batteries, solar, generators, and switchgear.
• 5+ years of control loop design experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and program PLC-based electrical control systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical control systems to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with teams and vendors to resolve system issues.
