Job summary

Vidac Solutions in Fenton, MO is seeking an experienced Engineering HMI Programmer who specializes in LabVIEW and automation systems. You will design, develop, and maintain LabVIEW applications for data acquisition, control, and testing across projects.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and controls engineers, translate client needs into robust software, and travel occasionally to support customers. A strong LabVIEW background and PLC programming experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3+ years of LabVIEW experience (Certified LabVIEW Developer preferred).
• Strong customer-facing communication skills.
• Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition, and control hardware.
• Hands-on PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or similar).
• Ability to troubleshoot across electrical, mechanical, and controls systems.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer support.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Engineering HMI Programmer who is passionate about automation, test systems, and software-driven solutions. The ideal candidate is a National Instruments LabVIEW expert who can collaborate with engineers and clients alike, translating technical needs into functional, reliable systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain LabVIEW applications for automation, data acquisition, and control systems.
• Proficient with other code languages such as C/C++, C#, VBA, Python, and IEC 61131-3 Languages for PLCs and/or ladder logic.
• Participate in full project lifecycles-from concept and design to implementation and validation.
• Work directly with customers to define requirements, troubleshoot systems, and ensure successful delivery.
• Support business development through technical discussions, proposals, and identifying new opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers on integrated system solutions.

• 3+ years of experience with LabVIEW (Certified LabVIEW Developer preferred).
