Job summary

Standard Nuclear, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Controls Engineer to support industrial control systems across our Oak Ridge manufacturing operations.

This contract role requires rapid ramp-up and the ability to design, program, troubleshoot, modify, and commission control systems from day one. The successful candidate must have deep hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs and be capable of producing complete electrical control drawings from scratch for new equipment, system

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
Extensive hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs required.
Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills, able to work independently.
Proven ability to create complete electrical control drawings from scratch.

Responsibilities

Independently design, develop, modify, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC control systems for manufacturing equipment
Develop and troubleshoot HMI applications, alarms, interlocks, and sequences
Create complete electrical control drawings and panel layouts for new equipment and modifications
Review and improve control logic, I/O wiring, instrumentation, and machine sequences
Support commissioning, startup, and field troubleshooting to ensure production readiness
