Job summary
Roush in Livonia, MI seeks a Controls Engineer II to join our electronics and controls team. You will develop control systems for internal projects and external customers across diverse industries, deploying hardware and software to meet requirements.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering or CS and 2+ years of controls experience, with MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, C/C++. Travel may be required as part of project work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic, computer or mechanical engineering, or CS.
- Minimum 2 years of post-graduate controls experience (automotive or military vehicle preferred).
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, C, or C++.
- Ability to read and create electrical schematics and understand electronics basics.
Responsibilities
- Capture and document customer system/hardware/software requirements.
- Design and develop control system electronics hardware, sensors and actuators.
- Design and develop system wiring including schematics, conductors and connectors.
- Develop software and control algorithms to meet requirements.
- Develop system plant models for control development.
- Perform data analysis and control tuning/calibration.
- Test and troubleshoot to ensure control systems meet requirements.
