Job summary

Mikron Corporation Denver is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to design, program, and test Mikron control systems for customer projects. You will participate in on-site installs, debug phases, and ensure functionality within schedule and budget while supporting the company’s goals.

The role requires advanced PLC/HMI programming, safety circuit design, servo/VFD experience, and ability to integrate third-party equipment. Travel up to 70% and strong collaboration with teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Advanced PLC and HMI programming with Allen-Bradley.
• Strong knowledge of electrical hardware for industrial machinery.
• Ability to design safety circuits from scratch.
• Experience with servo motors and VFDs, startup and tuning.
• Integrate 3rd party equipment (laser, leak tester, camera).
• Troubleshoot electrical and control systems on-site across projects.
• Travel up to 70% with overtime potential.
• Bachelor of Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Program, test, and debug Mikron control systems and processes.
• Attend design reviews and coordinate with customers and teams.
• Create electrical BOM and IO lists for projects.
• Provide on-site installation, commissioning, and support.
• Develop and maintain control engineering documentation.
• Support validation and customer service teams per spec.
• Multi-task across projects and manage time constraints.
• Travel for installations up to 70% of the year.
