Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is hiring a Controls Engineer II in De Soto, Kansas, to join our expanding battery manufacturing operations. You will design, implement, and support automated control systems across Keyence vision setups and multiple PLC platforms within a world-class facility near Kansas City.

The role emphasizes independent programming, system layout, testing, and collaboration with manufacturing and R&D teams to meet performance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required; master’s preferred.
• 2+ years of controls or automation experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Experience programming PLCs (Mitsubishi, Omron, Allen‑Bradley, Siemens) and vision systems (Keyence, Cognex).
• Strong knowledge of electrical drawings, controls wiring, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Independently program, install, and troubleshoot Keyence vision systems in manufacturing.
• Independently program, install, and troubleshoot PLC systems (Mitsubishi, Omron, Allen‑Bradley, Siemens).
• Analyze specifications to design control solutions using existing facilities.
• Manage small automation projects and coordinate detailed system layouts and schematics.
