Job summary

Our client, Manpower Group (USA), is seeking a Controls Engineer to join a leading food manufacturing organization in North Carolina. You will design, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA to optimize production and reliability across multiple facilities.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical or Controls Engineering and 3+ years' experience. You will lead automation projects, develop SOPs, and collaborate to drive continuous improvement, safety, and uptime while supporting

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in controls engineering, preferably in food manufacturing or similar.
Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMIs, and SCADA systems.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, robotics, and industrial automation technologies.
Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation for projects.

Responsibilities

Design, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems to optimize manufacturing processes.
Develop and implement control system solutions to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and equipment reliability.
Lead the integration of new automation technologies and equipment into existing production lines.
Create and maintain electrical schematics, control system documentation, and SOPs.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting across multiple facilities to minimize downtime.
