Job summary

OpenArc is seeking a qualified Controls Engineer to design, implement, and maintain control systems for complex automated equipment. You will develop panel layouts, wiring diagrams, PLC programs, and HMI configurations, leveraging familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs, ControlLogix, and FactoryTalk View.

The role requires collaboration with Project Engineers and maintenance teams to ensure reliable operation.

Qualifications

Design control systems for complex automated systems, including developing panel layouts, power distribution and controls wiring diagrams, PLC programs, and HMI programs.
Familiar with Allen-Bradley and ControlLogix PLCs and FactoryTalk View on other platforms.
Background in manufacturing and process controls; instrumentation, analog signaling, and basic electronics beneficial.
Collaborate with Project Engineers to develop error-proofing systems.
Work with maintenance technicians to troubleshoot production issues daily.

Responsibilities

Design control systems for complex automated systems from the ground up, including developing panel layouts, power distribution and controls wiring diagrams, PLC programs, and HMI programs.
Work closely with Project Engineers to develop and implement error-proofing systems.
Liaise with maintenance technicians to diagnose daily production issues and implement effective fixes.
Familiarize with Allen-Bradley and ControlLogix PLCs, FactoryTalk View, and other platforms.
