Job summary

OpenArc is seeking a qualified Controls Engineer to design, implement, and maintain control systems for complex automated equipment. You will develop panel layouts, wiring diagrams, PLC programs, and HMI configurations, leveraging familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs, ControlLogix, and FactoryTalk View.

The role requires collaboration with Project Engineers and maintenance teams to ensure reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Design control systems for complex automated systems, including developing panel layouts, power distribution and controls wiring diagrams, PLC programs, and HMI programs.
• Familiar with Allen-Bradley and ControlLogix PLCs and FactoryTalk View on other platforms.
• Background in manufacturing and process controls; instrumentation, analog signaling, and basic electronics beneficial.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers to develop error-proofing systems.
• Work with maintenance technicians to troubleshoot production issues daily.

Responsibilities

• Design control systems for complex automated systems from the ground up, including developing panel layouts, power distribution and controls wiring diagrams, PLC programs, and HMI programs.
• Work closely with Project Engineers to develop and implement error-proofing systems.
• Liaise with maintenance technicians to diagnose daily production issues and implement effective fixes.
• Familiarize with Allen-Bradley and ControlLogix PLCs, FactoryTalk View, and other platforms.
